SUBLIMITY, Ore. – Silver Falls Lodge & Conference Center (SFL&CC) will be ringing in 2015 with two New Year’s Eve Dinner dinners and New Year’s Day brunch.

Greg Hansen, SFL&CC general manager said, “Silver Falls Conference Center has held New Year’s Eve events in the past, but never as many or as varied. By adding the dinners, entertainment, and brunch, we hope to encourage others to spend New Year’s Eve at Silver Falls State Park and hike the Trail of Ten Falls on New Year’s Day. What more fun, inspirational, healthy and positive way to start 2015?”

Held in the Silver Falls Conference Center’s Big Leaf Dining Room at Silver Falls State Park, the New Year’s Eve dinners will feature Oregon-inspired fare prepared by Derek Ridgway, executive chef. The menu includes a salad of winter greens with cider vinaigrette, shaved apple, smoked hazelnuts and cranberries; choice of: prime rib au jus with creamed horseradish, braised lamb shank in spiced red wine and tomato reduction and gremoulata, or grilled steelhead trout with potato and yam “hash” wilted spinach and fennel-chive beurre blanc, all served with whipped Yukon gold potatoes and roasted winter vegetables; dessert choice of: dark chocolate marquise with marionberry sauce or pear-almond tart with dulce de leche; and rolls and coffee.

The first dinner seating, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., is $55 per person. The second seating, from 9:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., is $75 per person and additionally includes party favors, dancing to live jazz presented by the Joel Stevens Quartet, and a champagne toast at midnight.

SFL&CC’s Lodging & Brunch Package includes a guest room, New Year’s Day Brunch for two and late checkout for $159.

On New Year’s Day, brunch will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Big Leaf Dining Hall. Its menu includes: fresh-sliced cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon, grapes and strawberries, yogurt, a selection of breads, butter and jam, cold cereals, eggs, bacon, hash brown potatoes, ham with sautéed apple, broccoli cheddar quiche, muffins, coffee and tea for $19.95 per person. Special New Year’s Day Mimosas will be available additionally for $4 each.
